EMR Interfacing
Electronic Medical Records Interface
HL7 compliant interfaces to EMR systems are available.
A bi-directional EMR interface will allow a provider to send an order directly to LabTrak. Once the testing is performed on that patient’s sample and the results are accepted into LabTrak, the results can be sent back to the EMR system. This eliminates the need to print a patient report so that all patient reports are stored electronically to the EMR.
Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE), with a bi-directional orders/results interface satisfies the needs of Stage 2 meaningful use objectives.
